While at community college, she served as a Student Senator before serving as the Secretary of Public Relations for the student senate, facilitating media and student engagement during distance learning. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Helen volunteered to register and drive elderly and non-English speakers to vaccine sites to receive the COVID-19 vaccines. She also volunteered her time with Equivax Sacramento to aid with increasing vaccine equity in historically under-resourced communities of Sacramento.

This upcoming summer, Helen is excited to expand her knowledge and experience in public service and hopes to create substantial change through her service.
