Angelica Aban

Job title:
Class of 2023
Department:
2023 Democracy Camp in Berkeley
Bio/CV:

Angelica Aban is the oldest of three daughters from an immigrant family in Temecula, California. While at Berkeley, she became particularly interested in the role that the law, access to healthcare, and a high-quality education can play in expanding access and opportunities for disadvantaged populations from an upstream perspective. Angelica will graduate in the Spring of 2023 with a major in Legal Studies and minors in both Public Policy and Education.

Outside of the classroom, Angelica is an active member of the pre-law community. She is currently the President of the Undergraduate Legal Honors Society, an inclusive pre-law community that aims to help underrepresented students navigate the legal field, and a Campus Representative for the Bay Area JusticeCorps, an AmeriCorps program that aims to mitigate the Justice Gap for self-represented litigants. In the future, Angelica hopes to attend law school and to work as a public-interest attorney while also running a community-based non-profit and teaching in some capacity.
