Committed to positive and proactive outreach, Mr. Middlebrook has established and implemented community and government outreach programs. Earlier in his career, he served as primary spokesperson and speechwriter for Los Angeles Mayor Jim Hahn. Under his guidance, and as Hahn's political campaign manager, he led efforts to successfully elect Hahn as mayor. He served as Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles for Policy and Communications under Mayor Hahn, developing policy and communication strategies to advance the mayor's agenda. Later, he served as head of government affairs and then head of development for one of the largest privately held real estate companies, shepherding $1 billion in new development projects through complex government and regulatory approvals.
