Californians will soon be going to the polls to select their governor for the next four years. Whether the winner is Jerry Brown or Neel Kashkari, the next governor will face challenges such as an uncertain fiscal future for the state, a struggling system of public education, the latest battle in California’s water wars, and the dispute over high-speed rail. Which problems should be on the next governor’s agenda? What are the best solutions? We ask experts to assess how the state’s next leader should take us toward the future of California.
