Library Finance and Development

The Library is funded entirely by the Institute, not by the campus library system. As such, the Library faces many cost pressures, including skyrocketing journal prices and the need to keep pace with rapidly-changing developments in information technology.

Gifts and Donor Support

Over the years the Library has had many generous benefactors. Library users often donate background materials from their own research. Some have given direct financial support for the purchase of materials and equipment. Others have donated books from their personal libraries. The Library is grateful to the many prominent scholars whose gifts have enriched the Library's core collection of books on political science and public policy.
